Experience horse trekking in New Zealand
with a difference!

The horse trek combines a breathtaking two day ride over mountains of the South Island of New Zealand, through forests and across rivers with the timeless experience of staying in the secluded rustic Sherwood huts for your first night and in luxury at historic Sherwood Lodge for your last night.

The riding part of the package includes:

• Riding 6 hours from Mt Lyford and return via different route.
• Accommodation in the Sherwood huts, lunches, dinner and breakfast.
• Transfer of gear to and from the huts
• Horses, equipment and riding gear

You can bring sleeping bags, overnight gear or you can upgrade with fresh sheets and towels which are available at an extra cost of $30 per person, and cold beer and wine can also be ordered in advance.

Day One − Ride from Mt Lyford to Sherwood, staying overnight in the authentic, rustic musterers huts beside the Lottery River. Cook your own dinner from the provisions found at the huts and enjoy the company of the rambling river and unadulterated starlight, by the side of a roaring fire. This is New Zealand as real as it gets

Day Two − ride back to Mt Lyford, then unwind and get pampered at Sherwood Lodge, with fine dining and butler service.

Partner up with your horse with 2 days riding and two nights accommodation, for NZ$625 per person. Conditions apply, minimum of 2 riders required. Offer available for riding between 1 November 2009 and 30 April 2010.
